Welcome! The Lords of the Hoof is the web site of Cordite Eposognatus and Black Destrier. Here, you will find information about our costuming, characters, works-in-progress, and assorted topics relating to hooved character creation. Our basic philosophy centers around the creation of anthropomorphic characters in forms as realistic as we can imagine. Our hooved personas remain constant– the costumes and equipment changing to reflect different aspects of the characters. Our design approach emphasizes developing costumes and equipment to clearly enunciated requirements. First and foremost among our goals is safety and ease of wearing. These costumes are designed to be lived in, not fitted like special effects attire that takes hours and extra hands. So, welcome to our site.
